Studio Assistant – Drama Classes

During our regular school-year classes, this position offers a consistent 3–6 hours per week. For volunteers looking for more intensive experience, our Summer Camps offer expanded hours and daytime scheduling.

No prior theatre experience is required! We look for individuals who are energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable. Ideal candidates love working with children, possess strong communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude. This role is perfect for students pursuing education, child studies, human services, or performing arts.

Welcome students and families to the studio space. Assist the lead instructor with classroom management and active drama games. Participate in high-energy theater exercises, speech drills, and improvisations alongside students. Help distribute props, costume pieces, or scripts during class and performance preps. Act as a positive role model, offering encouragement and support to hesitant or shy students.

Hands-on Youth Leadership: Gain valuable experience managing group dynamics and supporting child development. Creative Teaching Skills: Learn the mechanics of developmental drama and fast-paced, confidence-building lesson structures.
